Thermalright announced earlier today that they are releasing a new video card cooler, the HR-11. What seems to set this apart from the rest, however, is the mounting. It fits to the backplate of the card instead of the front, with heat pipes projecting out to a heatsink that seems identical to the one on the HR-05. This means it can work in conjunction with the stock cooling option. All of this while potentially keeping your warranty intact.

| With the BioShock demo out and full release only days away, we've already seen issues with some ATI cards. Our performance test showed there were a few graphical problems with the DX10 version of BioShock and the HD2900XT. ATI have responed to this with a hotfix that addresses the issue. Karim recently bought a Thermalright HR-05 aftermarket Northbridge cooler after getting excessive northbridge temperatures. This was at stock, so if he was to consider overclocking he would need to consider either improving airflow in his case or getting an aftermarket cooler.
He decided to do both. |
